Dylan McKay is the archetype for boys I love

I have just recently sat down and concluded this as fact. For me to think that a boy looks really hot, his hair must look like some version of this:I have an unnatural affinity for side burns. I love boys who have some kind of issues with their mom or dad or both of them. I like boys who are well read and smarter than they appear. Scars (especially on the eyebrow) are hot. He must not be afraid to do really scary things. It is important for him to be at least somewhat temperamental and he must keep me guessing what he is going to do or say next. All the boys in school and at church that I lusted after (yes, I know, it's funny that I lusted after boys in church, but I didn't act on the temptation..shouldn't that count for something?), every actor, every singer, every boy in the mall and every boy in a book, and yes, even my husband, has had an element of Dylan in them. I guess because I watched him on 90210 since I was 5 years old, that has absolutely colored my view of the world.
Now I hear that Luke Perry is not going to be on the new 90210, and in fact, turned down returning to the role because he has a chance to play an abusive foster parent on Law and Order SVU. WTF LUKE? Must you shatter all of my hopes and dreams?Sigh. I guess I will have to find the heir to the Dylan McKay legacy, because you know that there will be one in the new cast. But they will never be as good as the original.
