My BFF Meredith is Friday's Fun Fearless Female

I first met my best friend Meredith when we were both 11 and in the 6th grade. She was wearing funky Doc Martins and overalls (which were considered stylish at the time). I remember thinking she was very cool. In middle school we bonded over our love of music, sitcoms, Leonardo Dicaprio, boy bands, and a mutual hatred of Hanson. In high school we formed a deeper, unbreakable bond that only comes from having a real friend you can depend on when dealing with heartbreak. Over the last 13 years we have shared countless tears, inside jokes and we've gotten into our fair share of fights and trouble. We've been all over the place together-California, New Orleans, the gulf coast of Texas, Dallas, San Antonio and New York City. Meredith has always made me giggle because she is afraid of ghosts and scary scenes in movies. But she's never been afraid to chase her dreams and take chances.
Today Meredith gets on a plane to go to her internship in New York City. She's wanted to live there as long as I've known her. She's pursuing her career and everything she's ever wanted. She has no way of knowing exactly what awaits her there and that is why she is fearless. But having known Meredith for 13 years, I know that she is going to impress everyone she comes into contact with in NYC with her talent and dedication. She has nothing to be afraid of (except maybe the ghosts that live in her dorm room). Here are some of my favorite memories with Meredith and some of the reasons why I will miss her while she is in NYC.

1) The time we found the end of 620 (and got pulled over by the cops).
One time Meredith told me she had never seen where 620 ends in the East. I was explaining that it turns into a neighborhood and we decided to drive over there so she could see what I was talking about. We immediately got pulled over by a lady cop. I started freaking out for no reason other than I'm intimidated by authority figures. Meredith stayed calm and assured me that we hadn't done anything wrong. She explained to the officer that we were going to a friend's house for a birthday get together (the truth was just too ridiculous to explain).
2) When we went to see Titanic Meredith cried so hard and so loud that it sounded like a donkey wailing. It was hilarious and gave me a case of the giggles. After the movie we left the mall theatre and went to the now-defunct Chelsea Street Pub where we poured sugar in the plants and paid in loose change. We were a waitress's worst nightmare.
3) One time we were driving to Ross and passed a clown wearing a rainbow wig who was driving a Volkswagen Bug with a decal on the back that said "Dipsy the Clown." I think we both nearly peed our pants laughing. Later, we heard from a girl that we went to school with that she'd seen us laughing in the car after passing a clown. We were puzzled by that and the only conclusion I can come to is the girl from school must have been the clown. That just makes it funnier.
I can't wait to see Meredith in October. The last time we were in New York together we were 15 and went to sing with the choir in Carnegie Hall. We ordered room service pizza and I got lost in Macy's. God only knows the ridiculous stories we will have after another fun-filled weekend in NYC.
Good Luck Meredith! Congrats on being Friday's Fun Fearless Female! I feel so lucky to have a friendship like ours and I'm so proud of you!
You have a good day!

Alexis Cohen is Friday's Fun Fearless Female

ALEXIS COHEN Pictures, Images and Photos

If you don't recognize the name, let me refresh your memory:
Unfortunately Alexis, who was 25 was struck by a car and killed ‎earlier this week in Seaside Heights, New Jersey. She will always be remembered for her love of glitter and her ability to put someone in their place. She was truly fearless, as she wasn't even intimidated by Simon Cowell. Though fear might have come in handy when it came to avoiding that car.
But let us not dwell on the way her life ended. Let's remember Alexis at her best. She did give us one of the most inspirational speeches in Idol history. Check this out:
RIP Alexis.
I'm going to cut down the blogging during August--I will most likely be blogging 1-2 times per week. Keep checking in with me and expect the blogging to gear back up to 5 times a week in September.
Have a great weekend!

Chelsea Handler is Friday's Fun Fearless Female

How could you not love a woman who named her second book Are You There, Vodka? It's Me, Chelsea (her first book is her memoir, titled My Horizontal Life: A Collection of One-Night Stands ...). Chelsea's certainly not afraid to go there. She hosts a nightly show on E! called Chelsea Lately and is regularly the funniest person on there (sometimes Chuy edges her out). If you haven't ever seen the show, here is a mere sampling of the humor to be found there:

She is too funny. Chelsea is 35 and grew up in New Jersey. She is the youngest in a Jewish family with 6 children. Her mother was Mormon. She has said that she felt like an outsider growing up, which can often lead to humor and obviously did in Chelsea's case.
People started to notice Chelsea when she appeared on Girls Behaving Badly. She was clearly the stand out star on that show and seemed to have no fear when it came to making a fool out of herself.
Chelsea is dating Ted Harbert, who oversees E! television. Her best friend is Jenny McCarthy. But even though she's got friends in high places, she's still keeping it real.
Let's here it for Chelsea Handler, Friday's Fun Fearless Female!
Have a great weekend!

Ashley Greene is Friday's Fun Fearless Female

I love Ashley Greene the most out of any the girls in the cast of Twilight. Why, you ask? Because she is sweet and very enthusiastic. She is an absolutely gorgeous girl and she's friends with the whole cast. She seems like a perfect friend; in fact, when you get right down to it, I like Ashley because she's so much like Alice. And who doesn't love Alice?
Much as I love Ashley, I don't know that I would have classified her as "fearless" last week. Yes, she will be going on the
Twilight Cruise, which certainly shows a certain amount of gusto. But she seems sweet, safe, nice. But Ashley has proven me wrong. She is fearless...when it comes to fashion.

Oh, Ashley. Leather hot pants? Maybe this is a fashion risk you shouldn't have attempted. It's hot outside. You could get sweaty. This look is just all kinds of wrong if you ask me. It makes a very thin, beautiful girl look boxy and larger than she is. And Ashley was so brave, she wore this outfit on national television. She went on MTV's "It's On with Alexa Chung". In these shorts. Check it out.

Bless her heart. I love her. Just not in those shorts.

Congratulations, Ashley; but next time, how about taking on a risky role rather than an outfit like that.

Have a great weekend!

Emma Watson is Friday's Fun Fearless Female!

As I admitted yesterday, I'm late to the Harry Potter book phenomenon. But I've always loved the movies. And Emma Watson, aka Hermione, has always been my favorite. Something about that character has always reminded me of myself at that age. Anyway, I love Emma Watson. She is a good example of a child star who has grown up to be normal. In fact all of the Harry Potter kids are fairly down to earth compared with winners like Lindsay Lohan.
Just take a look at this interview she did with David Letterman:

So poised! And she totally owned David Letterman in that interview. If you didn't have a chance to watch, she talks about her plans to attend college in the states. She always has intelligent, witty things to say and you just can't help but like her.
Besides being level-headed, she's also quite beautiful and classy. She's a fave of Karl Lagerfield, and she always looks fashion forward without looking too trendy.

I love the pics of her from her recent photo shoot with Teen Vogue. Gorgeous!
Just look at these pictures from her with the cast at the recent rainy world premiere of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. The amount of awesome in this picture is killing me. I adore JK Rowling. And I love Emma's dress. Of course, right now she's getting a lot of attention for a wardrobe malfunction at the event. If you haven't seen the picture yet, here it is.Well, at least she's wearing underwear. This alone puts her heads and shoulders above most Hollywood starlets.
I can't wait for the next movie. I'm sure I won't be anywhere near starting that book in the series, but I always enjoy the movies anyway.
Let's celebrate Emma Watson, Friday's Fun Fearless Female.

Have a great day!

Liz Lemon is Friday's Fun Fearless Female!

I love Liz Lemon from 30 Rock. In my opinion she is by far the funniest female character on television. An obvious extension of Tina Fey, Liz Lemon is also a character I find myself identifying with time and time again, despite the fact that I don't live in NYC and I'm not the head writer on a late-night television show. It might have something to do with her love of food and television, or possibly her extreme awkwardness or the way she dresses for work. It's likely that I identify with her because I often break into showtunes and my name is Elizabeth. Whatever it is, I feel like we were separated at birth.
Liz is from White Haven, Pennsylvania. She comes from an optimistic family, which is surprising considering her acerbic wit. She majored in theatre tech at Smith and she spent her Junior year abroad in Frankfurt, Germany. Liz and Jenna Maroney met an audition for a car dealership commercial in Chicago in 1993. They became roomates and lived in an apartment in the "little Armenia" area of Chicago. They started "The Girlie Show" together on Second City. They moved to NYC and put the show on TV, with Jenna as it's star and Liz as the head writer. Liz tends to be the rock for Jenna who is usually having an emotional breakdown over one ridiculous thing after another.
Liz has terrible luck with men. She was rejected by not one, but two men who went on to attend clown college. She didn't lose her virginity until she was 25. She has dated many losers on the show, the most impressive in his loserness being Dennis, who was once featured on Dateline's "To Catch A Predator."
Liz has an interesting relationship with Jack Donaghy, her boss, who is played to perfection by Alec Baldwin. They have undeniable chemistry, but in many ways they have a typical boss-employee relationship. While they frequently mock each other and their respective inadequacies, they're also each others closest confidante.
Here are my top five favorite Liz Lemon quotes:
1) "Jack Donaghy is gonna kill me and then he's gonna kill you and then he's gonna fold us up in a pizza and eat us."
2) "Once in college, I pooped my pants a little bit at a Country Steaks All-You-Can-Eat Buffet...and I didn't leave until I finished my second plate of shrimp."
3) "Thanks, it's my own recipe. I use cheddar cheese instead of water."
4) "Hi, my name is Liz Lemon and I received flowers from your shop tonight and I can't tell who they're from. [pause] No, no, I did read the card but it's not signed.... no, I'm not with so many men that it's impossible for me to guess... well, that is just... oh, well you know what, I found the card, actually, they're from your mom, so tell your gay mom I said thanks! [hangs up]"
5) Jenna: "That guy wanted to buy you a drink!" Liz: "Really? But I already have a drink. Do you think he'd buy me mozzarella sticks?"
Here's a video of some of my other favorite Liz Lemon moments:

Love her!
Have a great weekend and enjoy the fourth of July!

Teresa Giudice is Friday's Fun Fearless Female

If you have no idea who I am talking about, take a second to watch this video from the Real Housewives of New Jersey finale:

The one screaming "Prostitution Whore!"--that's Teresa Guidice. She is hilarious. She just got her "bubbies" done and she and her husband Joe are first-generation Italian-Americans. She has three daughters named Gia, Gabriella, and Milania. She will have her fourth child in September (she doesn't know what she's having yet). Guess her "delicious and juicy" husband Joe liked the bubbies. She has come out with her own line of clothing and accessories called TG Fabulicious (check it out at http://www.teresagiudice.com/). The stuff is kind of tacky and Jersey but at least it is reasonably priced, unlike Lynne with her stupid $300 cuffs.

Teresa was the source of comic relief on the show and never had an attitude--until she flipped the table over. As many times as I have jokingly said "I will flip the table over," I have never actually seen someone do that in "real" life. I think she must have been pushed to her breaking point and just went off on Danielle. And who could blame her? Bitch is crazy.

Oh, and Danielle? How come when you were talking to your daughters you mentioned three things from the book were true-you used to be a stripper, you changed your name and you got arrested; yet when you were talking at the "last supper" you only admitted to the last two? I'm with Teresa-there has to be something else.

This show is by far the best of the Real Housewives franchise. For one thing, they had an all-out screaming match between all of the ladies in the last episode of the season. While many of the other housewives have ongoing fights, they rarely actually talk to each other about it, and even if they do they've never had anything like this.

Also, these ladies are the closest thing to Real Housewives. They actually have kids, and the majority of them stay at home and cook and take care of said kids. Mind you, their houses are mansions and their kids are auditioning for movies with the Rock, but they are actually housewives. I thought it was kind of sweet on the next-to-last episode when Teresa said that she cooks Monday-Thursday and they go out to eat every Friday night at their favorite restaurant. Who knows if that's true, but I would be more likely to believe it coming from her than Laurie from the OC.

Here is a clip from the upcoming RHONJ reunion show.

I can't wait! Have a great weekend everyone!!!

Ellen Degeneres is Friday's Fun Fearless Female!

There are about a million and one reasons why Ellen is fun and fearless. She's not afraid to make fun of herself and other people, but it's never in a mean way. She came out as a lesbian on TV at a time when no one else had. Everyone hated the show after that, and it was cancelled. She spent a few years off of TV, then came back with her amazing talk show. On her show she dances like there's no one watching. Her being gay is just a fact on the show; she doesn't make an issue out of it. But she's not afraid of standing up for what she believes in. She's one of the most recent models for Cover Girl Cosmetics. And she campaigned her way into being on the cover of December 2009's issue of "O" with Oprah (if memory serves, Oprah has only shared the cover of with one other woman-Michelle Obama). Ellen generally makes the mornings of the many people who watch her better.
Most importantly, Ellen is funny.
If you haven't seen Ellen's commencement speech at Tulane, please watch this video. It's funny, heartbreaking, beautiful and thought-provoking.
Have a great weekend!

Audrey Hepburn is Friday's Fun Fearless Female

"I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles."
-Audrey Hepburn“For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone.”
-Audrey Hepburn
"Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, it's at the end of your arm, as you get older, remember you have another hand: The first is to help yourself, the second is to help others."
-Audrey Hepburn
"The best thing to hold onto in life is each other."
-Audrey Hepburn
Audrey Hepburn is the Patron Saint of Pink is My Signature Color. Not only because she was beautiful and a style icon and a talented actress. But because of quotes like these. I could go on and on about how much I love Audrey and all of the reasons why, but I think the quotes are explanation enough. That doesn't mean I won't try to pay her some kind of tribute with this blog entry.
Have you every seen "Breakfast at Tiffany's"? How about "Sabrina" or "My Fair Lady"? They are all absolute masterpieces and throughout all of them it is next to impossible to notice anyone other than Audrey.
Did you know that Truman Capote, who wrote the novella which "Breakfast at Tiffany's" is based on, wanted Marilyn Monroe for the part of Holly Golightly? But Audrey worked hard and got the part and it is difficult to imagine anybody else playing it with such whit, depth and charm.
Audrey was beautiful inside and out. As a child she lived in German-occupied Holland during World War II. Her war-time experiences inspired her to work with UNICEF and eventually become their Goodwill Ambassador. She worked for children throughout the world to protect their rights and advocate for their survival, development and protection.
Audrey is an example of all the things many of us hope to be. She was graceful--she was trained as a ballerina, but due to her malnutrition during the war and the fact that she was fairly tall (5'7") she was determined not to be a candidate for "prima ballerina". Instead she settled on being a Academy Award Winning Actress. She also aged gracefully; take a look at this picture of an older Audrey:Could she be any more beautiful? If only actresses in this day and age didn't use so much botox, we would still get to see mature beauty like this in Hollywood.
What would a tribute to Audrey Hepburn be without making mention of her status as a style icon? My style motto has always been to dress in a way that is not automatically identifiable with a decade. Audrey started doing that in the 1950s. She is most definitely my personal style icon. I mean, come on: As Stacey London would say, Shut up!
She had the kind of classic style that endures, yet she broke ground and did things that other actresses hadn't done.
Like making flats fashionable.

My feet thank you, Audrey.

But she also understood when it was time to turn it out with wedge heels, white shorts, and a hot plaid shirt. She's so awesome.
And then there's the oft-emulated monochromatic look she was so fond of.She was also a fan of turtlenecks, which is just made of win in my book. Mostly because I'm looking for any excuse to call my never-dying love of turtlenecks a fashion statement. I think it's clear that Audrey is an example of class, timeless beauty and elegance, and someone to strive to be more like.

I will leave you with one final thought on why Audrey is the Patron Saint of Pink is My Signature Color:

She knew that when all else fails, dance.

Thanks for being such an inspiration Audrey!

There are some other folks I need to acknowledge at this point, because I have now been blogging for a whole year and this is my 200th blog. For those of you who know me, you will understand that this shows quite a bit of uncharacteristic commitment on my part. I have always been one to start a journal with the intention of writing in it every day, only to find it under my bed and realize I haven't written in it in three months. I have to say I'm proud of myself for continuing to blog and I hope to be blogging a year from now.

The majority of these people will never read this, but that's okay--I just want to acknowledge their awesomeness. I know that there is no way that I would still be doing this blog if it weren't for Stephenie Meyer who wrote the fabulous Twilight Saga which has kept me so entertained over the last year, so props to her and the whole cast of Twilight for keeping me committed and interested in something for this long. I'd also like to thank a few of the many bloggers who continue to inspire me and make me giggle my way through the work day--Michael K over at D Listed, Ree at The Pioneer Woman, Brandi at Just a Simple Girl with a Dream, Mandy at Pants Design and Greer over at Stoneybrookite. You should check all of these blogs out for wonderful tales of Cheeto Casseroles, dropping panties in coffins, a parody of Steel Magnolias called Tin Petunias, Bits of awesomeness and Twilight news (and even Twilight crafts), and an in-depth discussion of whether Ed McGill (Stacey's dad from the Baby-Sitter's Club series) was secretly a millionaire.

I'd like to thank everyone who continues to read my blog. I know there is no way that every topic is interesting to everyone, but I appreciate the fact that my family and friends continue to read it. Hopefully a few other people find it interesting as well.

Thanks again for reading!

Pinky is Friday's Fun Fearless Female

For those of you who don't know, Pinky is our nickname for my mom. It developed because she used to wear these ridiculous pink curlers which my dad called her "Pinkies."
Pinky's birthday is tomorrow and both me and my sister are going to be out of town, which I feel terrible about. But Pinky is the first to assure us it's okay, to go and have fun. She always puts others first and seems to truly draw happiness from seeing those around her happy.
Pinky is my hero. Whenever anything good happens, she is the first person I want to call. She is all the first person I want to talk to whenever anything bad happens. I know she will know the solution to the problem and will help me to feel better.
As I grow older, I find myself wondering how my parents seemed so confident. I never once doubted that they knew exactly what to do in every situation and that they would do anything to protect us from harm. Throughout all the rough times, the sickness, the fighting and hair-brush throwing, Pinky always seemed to know what to do with me and my sister.
Pinky has always done the right thing. I remember as a very small child, my mom took us to the mall. This was back in the day when the only malls around were Highland and one other which I can't remember the name of (it was in the building that now houses the Garden Ridge in Round Rock). Well, Pinky took me and Meredith to Highland, because she knew we loved the bubble gum ice cream with the actual gumballs in it as well as the tux-wearing pianist in the food court. Walking through the mall we ran into an older woman in a wheelchair who was confused and couldn't find her family. My mom stayed with her, pushed her wheelchair, and helped her find her family, all while dealing with her two whiny daughters whose only focus was gumball ice cream. But that moment has stayed with me and it taught me a lesson which can only be taught by example. She taught us to be kind to others.
My mom is a kind person who honestly cares about people around her and really listens when you tell her something. She doesn't just ask "How are you?" because it is customary, she asks because she really wants to know.
My mom has taught me so much it is impossible to even summarize it all.
But off the top of my head, here's a list of just a few of the things she taught me:
to love life
to love music
to love poetry
to love to read
to love to travel
to love to plan
to love my family
and a few other life lessons:
Pinky taught me by example how to be a good wife.
She taught me how to cook a few of her best recipes and she also encouraged me to just get in the kitchen and try.
She taught me that even if you don't like to clean, it has to be done, so just do it (she also taught me how to clean).
She taught me how to deal with the paperwork/insurance/taxes/customer service representatives in life.
But one of the best things about Pinky is that she is always there to catch me when I fall or when I need help remembering how long to cook Chicken and Rice or what to do in section 42e of my taxes.
On a final note, what I'm most grateful to Pinky for is her spirit and enthusiasm. I hope that she has passed a little of that down to me. From an early age, I remember getting so excited about little things, because my mom would make them so special. She taught me to take pleasure in simple things. Whether it was planning a party or trying to find a treasure that a radio station had hid, she always made it feel like an adventure. Most importantly she made me and Meredith feel involved and important.
One afternoon, after the rain had cleared, my mom took me on a drive in her Navy Buick LeSabre to try and find the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
I can only hope to one day be a mom, and if
my kids are lucky, maybe I will be half as good at it as Pinky is.
But even if I'm not, I know they will be okay, because they can always go to Pinky's house and see how a pro does it.
Happy Birthday Pinky and Congrats on being Friday's Fun Fearless Female!

Susan Boyle is Friday's Fun Fearless Female!

If you haven't watched this video yet, you must! She may not look the part, but she has an amazing voice.
Susan's bravery should inspire every one of us to dream the dream.
I know I'm being uber corny and the whole thing was probably a set up, but it still makes makes me tear up.
And Twilighters; for a giggle, check this out:
Congrats Susan Boyle, Friday's Fun Fearless Female!
Have a great weekend!

Pam Beesly is Friday's Fun Fearless Female

Oh, Pam. You certainly are this Friday's Fun Fearless Female. You took a chance and left Dunder Mifflin to join Michael in his newest ridiculous venture, the Michael Scott Paper Company.

Now you are stuck working with Michael and Ryan, the douchiest of all douchebags (did anybody else want to throw-up when he was saying Pam was a 6 in NYC but a 7 in Scranton?). And you all share an office that is really more of a closet.
You had a very Elle Bunny-esque break down at the end of the first of two new episodes last night; you talked about how you don't know what you were thinking leaving that perfectly cushy job; you got bored, but that's not a reason to leave a job where you had health benefits and sat 10 feet away from your incredibly cute fiance. You just got bored.
I feel you, Pam. I'm bored, too. But I'm also terrified of leaving my incredibly cushy job with great health insurance for the scary grown-up world out there where people have to dress in fancy clothes to go to work. And this episode just reaffirmed my feelings that I should never leave my current desk (which in truth, is not even my own desk, but rather, a portion of a long table which I share with 20 other people). It really is scary out there. And if I'm not careful, I could end up working in a closet, sitting at a poker table with my current boss and one of the many losers that have worked with me in the past. And to confirm that I had been transported to in hell, I could have to hear the toilet flushing every few minutes.

Thanks for taking one for the team, Pam. But maybe I should see you as inspiration and not a scary parable. Because I just realized that I should be congratulating you on your first sale! That was really awesome, although I'm not sure how the three of you are going to live for very long on under $900. I also want to congratulate you on taking a stand on the copy thing. I also can relate on that front, not only because I like making copies (they are warm!) but because I feel like people do stereotype and put you in a box at work which you can never escape. And that bothers me, because really, we are all multifaceted people.

But lets get down to srs bsns now, are you guys going to return to Dunder Mifflin soon? I don't see how long this can last. Oh, and has Jim figured out a way to remove that clown picture? Can I come to your wedding? I really hope you and Jim get married soon.
You guys are so cute.
In closing, I want to thank you Pam, for representing ladies in the workplace so realistically. Many of us are just like you. Timid, maybe, but underneath that shy veneer there is a confident business woman ready to be unearthed.
Congratulations, Pam Beesly, Friday's Fun Fearless Female!
Have a Happy Easter everyone!

Elle Bunny

The heart is what makes someone Fearless

The human heart is an incredible organ. It has four chambers which pump blood through our blood vessels through rhythmic contractions. The average human heart, beating at 72 beats per minute, will beat approximately 2.5 billion times during a lifetime (about 66 years). For many centuries it was believed that the heart was the actual location of the mind. When our anscestors died, those who cared for the dead would toss the brain aside but do much to protect the heart. The heart symbolizes the soul, and while it is a physical organ essential to living, it also symbolizes our emotions and feelings. Our capacity to forgive and be kind. And most of all, the heart's capacity to love is an awe-inspiring thing. So on this Friday I wanted to give thanks for the human heart, for keeping our blood pumping and for all the wonderful people in the world who know how to use their hearts to touch others'.

The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart.

-Helen Keller

Have a heart that never hardens, a temper that never tires, a touch that never hurts.

-Charles Dickens
A joyful heart is the inevitable result of a heart burning with love.

-Mother Theresa Happy Valentine's Day!

Love,
Elle Bunny
P.S. My posts will be sporadic over the next couple of weeks. Please find it in your heart to forgive me. I need some time to collect ideas on what to write about!

I seriously don't know who to pick as Friday's Fun Fearless Female.

The reason I can't pick is that there isn't one candidate that sticks out for me. There are actually quite a few. But in the past, I've picked the majority of Friday's Fun Fearless Females/Males/Twins/Felines based on their having done something outstanding/interesting/fearless and the fact that I would enjoy throwing back a few Margaritas with them (with the exception of the Obama Girls, Piper Palin, and Knox and Vivienne Jolie-Pitt: too young; although,I think Spaghetti Cat would be able to hold his liquor).
However, this week, I'm unable to find anyone who fits both criteria. So instead, I'm going to talk about a couple of ladies I think are bat-shit crazy, but undeniably fearless.
First up:

Nadya Suleman is obviously delusional. In case you didn't figure it out already or you've been living under a rock, this is the lady who recently had octuplets at the age of 33. She lives with her parents in a two bedroom apartment. She declared bankruptcy just over a year ago and she already has six kids. How the hell did she come up with the money for fertility treatment when she just declared bankruptcy? And while I don't think I would enjoy socializing with the woman, there's no denying that this is an outstanding story and that she doesn't have a fearful bone in her body-she doesn't seem too concerned about how to feed 14 kids or how she is going to give them a suitable home. She doesn't seem concerned about their lack of a male role model (well, I guess her Dad could fill that role if he didn't have to go to Iraq for contract labor to feed her 14 kids). She obviously didn't have any fear when they implanted several embryos. I'm somebody who usually lives by the philosophy "live and let live" but someone needs to investigate this woman further. So Nadya is definitely one of this Friday's Fearless Females--but I don't know how fun she is.
And my second pick for Friday's Fun Fearless Female is Ricki Lake. Why Ricki, you may ask? Because of this. Ricki is going to be hosting the third season of Charm School on Vh1. I don't know if she is a glutton for punishment or maybe she just likes getting into fights with Bret Michael's rejects. Either way, I hope that she is as feisty as Sharon Osbourne. I also agree with Michael K who recently stated that he hopes Ricki Lake owns a full body latex suit because unfortunately, these ladies look diseased. But Ricki has lots of experience in dealing with that lot of people--remember her talk show? My favorite parts were always when the audience would chant "Go Ricki! Go Ricki!" I also liked it when the doorbell would ring and Ricki would say "Uh-Oh!" and somebody else would pop in for a little drama. Here are some clips from the awesomeness that was that show. She had a great opening sequence!

So while these ladies may not inspire me to reach for greater things and dare to be a better me, they certainly make great entertainment.
So let's here it for Nadya Suleman and Ricki Lake, Friday's Fun Fearless Females!
Have a great weekend, everyone!
Love,
